Kitami Bonchi Festival

The curtain of the festival is drawn with the Buyo Parade, during which citizens in yukatas (informal cotton kimonos) walk through the downtown. You can also watch the Tonden Otsunahiki with young men wearing loincloths to compete in a 200-meter-long tug-of-war. On the last day of the festival, you can see fireworks among other activities.

Visitors can also participate in the Onneyu Hot Spring Festival and the Kitami Bonchi Festival by applying in advance.
